Southwest Airways DC-3-SJC
SJC’s first airline was Southwest Airways, a predecessor to Pacific, Hughes Airwest, Republic and Northwest. Shortly after the airport opened, one of the carrier’s DC-3s boards passengers at the SJC’s original terminal, located at the southern end of the lengthened Runway 30R. (SJC)
